"വൈവിധ്യത്തിലെ ഏകത്വം" - Song Composition Work

Image
As per the B.Ed curriculum prescribed by University of Kerala for Semester III, a song composition work has to be done by the teacher trainee, in connection with any of the topic handled in classroom during the training phase. During the first phase of my B.Ed teaching practice, I was posted for training at BNV V&HSS for Boys, Thiruvallam. The allotted class was IXth standard. I handled a chapter named- കേരളം: 8ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടു മുതൽ 18ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടു വരെ - which basically talks about the cultural, geographical, political, social, land related and economic aspects of Kerala during the mid century of 8-18th CE. This is a poem I composed on the same theme, en capsuling the essence of the chapter, and used during the end of the lesson- as a sumup of why the chapter is important. Since my lesson plans were in malayalam and I handled the malayalam medium students, the poem was also written in malayalam. It goes like this.... വൈവിധ്യത്തിലെ ഏകത്വം --------------------------------------------...

With only a few days left  before us to finish the pending portions and assigned works from the college and school, the trainees are already at full pace. Most of us as lagging behind the portion completion. Luckily, I need barely 5 more periods, and then I can start off with the revisions of these chapters, like I did during December. The chapter is related to disaster management and various disasters that happened in Kerala and India during the past few years. It is quiet and interesting chapter to deal with and  I look forward to introducing a lot of teaching aids in the classroom. I have a positive Outlook towards how to present this chapter to the students and how I can prepare them to the disasters that they might face or here of in their lifetime. We also conducted a yoga workshop as part of our physical education and health education duties assignment from the college during this week...

This was a very quite week for us. I was already very busy finishing up my portion of history before I leave for my college. Due to my health issues I wasn't able to take much classes this week to I made sure to take at least one class per day. Students were very cooperative but recently it has been noted that they are taking more freedom with us. For some of us managing the classrooms are quite a job right now. Some days some students of my classroom are also behaving extremely different from how they were during the beginning. The headmistress says this is a common phenomenon scene during the teaching training last days at school. Students get acquainted with the drainage and have quite very good knowledge of how far the trainee will go. They also know that the drainage do not have much power compared to the that of a regular teacher and they take more freedom resulting in difficulties of managing them. For some fortunate safe with me this scenario is at low levels come back to ...

After the camp and some classes at college while there was the Christmas break for students, we are back for the part 2 of our first face teaching practice at the school on January 1st 2024. During the 7th week of teaching practice, first we went back to our teachers to collect the new portions since the previous term is already over. I have been assigned three chapters for this session. Two of them are very small chapters, and, another one is from history. Since I have already finished 28 lesson plans in my part 1 of teaching practice phase 1,  I have the least worries about finishing 40 lesson plans in this period. During this 7th week, on first day, the school distributed Jalebi for students on the occasion of new year. We were also given jalebis. Tuesday was a  holiday as there was a local celebration. On Wednesday I finished the first small chapter which was related to social problems. Hands the students could easier related and it was quiet simple to navigate to t...
